Learning objectives
The course proposes to shed light on the area of public policy which operates under the name of ‘Industrial Policy’ (IP). By following the work, from different periods, of Alexis Jacquemin (80’s) and Dani Rodrik (2000’s) students will observe not only IP in the context of market failures but also how politics stimulates mass industrial structural changes, that is, the rise of new industries.
