the Course "The Speech of language disorders in children
"Is part of the Integrated Course of Speech I, and aims to enable the student to know and understand the clinical picture of language disorders in children, diagnostic tools, the rehabilitation methods available.
The course also aims to enable the student to use the knowledge and understanding gained, in order to be autonomous in the assessment, selection of appropriate rehabilitation method to the case, in the planning of the objectives of the intervention, in environmental management family related.

Course unit content
the first part of the lectures focused on the grading of language disorders in children differentiating primary disorders from secondary disorders. (methods of assessment, diagnostic classification, differential diagnosis, etiology, epidemiology, prognostic factors).
Specifically, the operational model is presented for evaluation and taking charge at the Unit of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation AUSL of Parma and particular attention is given to the significance of the treatment in pediatric speech therapy, speech therapy to the reading of the budget for the 'identification of the target of treatment and monitoring of the treatment itself.
It is then proposed an overview of the main rehabilitation approaches in the literature.
The final part of the course aims to provide useful and website references for further study.

Teaching methods
