Course presentation - video

Why in Parma?

The degree course represents an innovative initiative in the Italian university scenario, where managerial culture is combined with technological and scientific input to train qualified managerial figures able to interpret and effectively manage the problems of the agri-food system. The course is set in the heart of the Food Valley and brings together the scientific research and accreditation tradition of the three Departments involved: Economics and Business Sciences, Chemical, Life and Sustainability Sciences, and Food and Drug Sciences.

The course is divided into 2 highly specialised curricula in terms of subject matter. All courses in the third year are differentiated according to the chosen curriculum:

- Curriculum Food Management: delves into the main issues of agri-food systems and supply chains management from a product value creation perspective, with particular reference to cultural and sustainability aspects.

- Curriculum Food Science: develops knowledge and tools to understand the agri-food product in its organoleptic components and provide guarantees of health, safety and quality, while respecting environmental, economic and social sustainability.
