A historically consolidated educational experience, thanks to a field of study that has its origins in 1973 with the establishment in Parma of the Special School for Technical Physiotherapists of Rehabilitation, which was later transformed into a University diploma and finally into a degree in 2002.
A high-level education course, with both theoretical and practical-professionalising teachings, held in modern structures and characterised by a close relationship with teachers, tutors and guides.
Thanks to the many agreements with public and private health facilities in the area, you will have the opportunity to do placements in numerous qualified work contexts representing future job opportunities. You can use laboratory classrooms equipped with treatment beds and rehabilitation equipment for simulations and classrooms in plenary session.
The course includes Elective Educational Activities such as Maitland Approach, Therapeutic Cognitive Exercise, Principles of the approach to Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitations, Principles of the Bobath approach, Support to physiotherapists and patients through Motivational Counseling, Research Methodology, Burn Patient Rehabilitation, Visceral Rehabilitation, Posture and Rehabilitation, Path Analysis. From theory to application in clinical practice, Methodology and clinical reasoning in manual therapy.
Internships before and after graduation are also available, both in Italy and abroad, with the Erasmus+ and Overworld programmes.

After graduation
The course grants excellent integration into the world of work, with the employability rate exceeding 95% (AlmaLaurea data) a year after graduation.
The main professional employment options are in public or private health facilities, clinics and rehabilitation centers, local authorities, personal services cooperatives, companies producing and/or distributing aids, prostheses, orthosis, and work as a freelancer in physiotherapy.
You will also have the opportunity to access the master’s degree courses in Health Sciences of Rehabilitation and the professional Masters.
