CORDA/IDEA project

CORDA Project

The CORDA project, which started in 2001 as an orientation initiative for final year students of some High Schools intending to undertake studies at the Faculty of Engineering in Parma, was then extended to all the University's scientific courses of study, currently serving schools throughout the province of Parma and some in the provinces of Reggio Emilia, Cremona, Mantua, Massa Carrara and Piacenza.

I.D.E.A. Project

As part of the theoretical and practical refresher/training courses for teachers, the I.D.E.A. Project (Didactic Integration for Assisted Practice) offers since the a.y. 2004-2005 propaedeutic courses in Italian, Latin, Greek, Philosophy, Pedagogy, English Language, German Language, French Language and Spanish Language.

Each course is taught by high school teachers, selected and trained by university instructors in agreement with the Territorial School Offices of Parma, Piacenza and Reggio Emilia and with the Regional School Office for Emilia-Romagna.

Project IDEA (Didactic Integration for Assisted Practice)

Coordinator
prof. Massimo Magnani - massimo.magnani@unipr.it

The IDEA project was set up with the aim of linking the school and university systems.
High school teachers, selected from among those who have applied for participation, carry out exercises and tutoring for students in order to enhance the basic knowledge necessary to attend the corresponding course units successfully or to approach certain basic disciplines with a view to a more complete humanistic education.

No prior knowledge is therefore required and students from years subsequent to year I
are admitted to the preparatory courses of the I.D.E.A. project, also with no obligation to enrol.

This activity is thus both training and refresher courses for secondary school teachers and tutoring for students, who are offered useful help in passing their exams.
