Learning objectives

Develop the knowledge and skills about the management of the agricultural and agro industrial and especially the ability to plan with respect to the context of agricultural policy and agri-food markets

Course unit content

The course aims to provide to students the main keys of to interpretation concerning the farm economics and the economics of agri-food system. The topics of the lectures will address the specificities of the agro-food sector, the factors of production, the business strategies of family units, the plan of agricultural production, the farm budget, principles of linear programming, the role of technical progress in agriculture and food industries, the agro-food chain.
