Learning objectives

Understanding of the main lines of development of the reflection in the field of contemporary scientific and logical.

Prerequisites

Desirable to have a general knowledge of the history of philosophy of the '900.

Course unit content

TITLE OF THE COURSE: The search for a scientific method of the century.
CONTENT:
We will know the main issues and problems of contemporary philosophy of science through the consideration of some key texts and emblematic of the authors who have worked in various ways, and for different purposes, for research and the development of a method of theoretical investigation of reality that can be said scientifically valid and acceptable.

The logical neopositivism, from the beginning to the end of the Vienna Circle.
Popper, Quine, Weber, Comte, positivism English and German. The main developments of mathematics, physics and biology contemporary.
