Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to study the structure of medicines and their therapeutic uses. The course describes a panorama of medicines useful for combating pain, disorders and diseases of the CNS and the symptoms of inflammation and allergies. Additionally, students will acquire knowledge on the side, mechanism of the action, structure-activity relationship, pharmacokinetic characteristics, undesired effects and toxicity of the medicines.

Neurotranmettiters of the central nervous system. Receptors involved in transmitting impulses.
Drugs that act on the central nervous system: CNS Depressors and CNS Stimulants. Local anestetics.
Agents for control of gastric acidity.
