Learning objectives

At the end of the course students must have knowledge about the main characteristics of a project: the development stages, drafting and evaluation, with specific reference to social work projects in the “third sector” .

Course unit content

The principle aim of the course is to define and deepen (through practical examples) the characteristics of a social plan.

Key concepts of the course will be: the difference between the project about "the single case" and the project as “protocol of collaboration” or as “policy development” (with specific reference to social work projects in the “third sector”), the various stages of a project and its drafting and evaluation.

The various approaches and models to design will also be treated, trying to stress strengths and weaknesse of the various methodological choices also through a group work carried out during the last lessons of the module.

Teaching methods

For the presentation of the theoretical orientations and basic concepts of the discipline, the traditional lesson will be used mainly; necessary for the success of the lessons the active participation of students with questions and personal reflections on the topics covered. The teaching proposal will be completed with the films and other materials concerning some projects developed in Emilia Romagna, as well as with a working carried out in the last lesson in order to experiment the contents learned during the couse.
