Learning objectives

Aim of the laboratory is the acquisition of some essential skills for conducting a clinical session, including:
- ability to manage first contact and reception;
- ability to understand and reformulate the explicit and implicit request;
- ability to signify the setting and management of the setting;
- definition of the role of the psychologist and its presentation in session;
- management of the first interview;
- demand analysis and definition of the contract;
- awareness of the personal style of the psychologist.

Course unit content

The laboratory is aimed to deepen the theme of the clinical psychological sessions. The essential aspects to be considered during the psychological sessions will be presented.

Bibliography

The deepening of the topics addressed in the laboratory will be through the analysis of material shared during the lesson.

Teaching methods

Interactive lessons that require the active participation of students: practical exercises and group discussion, to encourage the acquisition of the ability to apply knowledge to reality, reflective capacity, autonomy of judgment and autonomy in practice.

Assessment methods and criteria

The examination, without vote, consists in writing a short paper to verify the knowledge acquired during the laboratory and the reflection on them.
