Learning objectives

to follow the student in surgical management, using lasers and new technologies, of dental, mucosal, osseous diseases and the general health conditions

Prerequisites

knowledge of anatomy of the oro-maxillofacial district and of the dental, mucous and bone pathologies of interest and surgical therapy

Course unit content

surgical management of dental, mucosal, osseous diseases in the oro-maxillofacial district in patients eventually suffering of systemic diseases

dysodontiasis of the third molar
dental inclusions
endodontic pathologies
abscesses and phlegmons
osteitis and osteomyelitis
drug-related and radio-induced osteonecrosis / biophysical bases of the laser and the interactions with human tissues/ the use of the lasers and new technologies
