Learning objectives
The aim of the present course is to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills about the administration of a neuropsychological evaluation including the development of neuropsychological diagnostic hypotheses, the neuropsychological tests administration and the consequent writing of a neuropsychological report.

Course unit content
The course will focus on some general points concerning the quantitative and qualitative approaches to the neuropsychological evaluation and its practical management.
Then, the neuropsychological assessment of the principal cognitive functions will be addressed observing the following main points:
- A description of the principal cognitive models inspiring the neuropsychological tests development;
- A description of the neuroanatomical bases and the symptomatology of the principal disorders following the deficits in the cognitive function in the focus of the lesson;
- The description of the main neuropsychological tests used to assess the cognitive function in the focus of the lesson (exemplificative clinical cases and/or tests administration training will be arranged).

-The neuropsychological assessment of the general cognitive level
-Behavioral and emotional deficits related to neuropsychological disorders

Teaching methods
The course offers a blended teaching with lectures, in compliance with safety standards, and on-line classes, all accessible via web. Both the lectures and the on-line classes will stress, as much as possible, the applied nature of the course.
There will be 4 virtual classrooms in which neuropsychological cases will be explored.
Assessment methods and criteria
Exam modality: oral examination.
The oral examination will consist of two theoretical questions and a clinical case discussion.
In case of the persistence of the health emergency, the exams will be conducted remotely, as follows: remote oral questions, through Teams platform (guide http://selma.unipr.it/). The oral examination will cover the entire course program and the discussion of one clinical case.
