Teaching methods

The didactic activities are delivered through lectures with the use of slides and videos to help the student to visually concretize some concepts.
At the end of the lessons, the PDFs of the contents will be made available on Elly.
All students are reminded that the summative tests are built on the contents of these PDFs, which are revisited and updated by the teacher every year, so it is advisable to always check the didactic material available and follow the instructions provided by the teacher on the Elly platform.

Assessment methods and criteria

The summative evaluation of learning foresees alternative possibilities, written or oral, decided on the basis of context situations; the test, if in written form, will take place during the morning of the days scheduled for the exams and will be preparatory for access to the afternoon orals of the remaining disciplines making up the integrated course of "Clinical Emergencies"; in the case of an oral exam, it will take place at the same time as the remaining disciplines.
Characteristics of the various evaluation possibilities:
- oral exam with questioning on the contents explained in the lessons
- written test with closed-ended questions (30 questions to which the student must answer in 35 minutes with a score of 1 if the answer is correct and 0 if the answer is incorrect or not given; minimum score for passing the test = 18 out of 30 )
- written test with open-ended questions (5 questions with a score from 0 to 6 for each answer; estimated time for this test 1 hour; minimum score for passing the test = 18 out of 30).

Please note that online registration for the exam is mandatory both in the case of written and oral tests.

It will be possible to view the test, only if NOT PASSED, upon request by the student to the teacher in the days following the exam date.
