Learning objectives

The objective of the integrated course is to provide an adequate pathophysiological and clinical knowledge for correct patient nursing management in the different clinical contexts. This knowledge is specifically aimed at training the future nurse as regards of the emergency management, of the assistance in the surgery room and of the assistance in internal medicine, as described in the individual course modules.

Full programme

The integrated course is developed in the following modules, to which reference is made for the specific extended program:
- GENERAL AND SPECIAL PHARMACOLOGY (3 credits)
- NURSING IN INTENSIVE CARE (1 credits)
- NURSING IN THE OPERATING ROOM AND PERIOPERATORY CARE (2 credits)
- NURSING IN GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED SURGERY (3 credits)
- CLINICAL PATHOLOGY (2 credits).

Teaching methods

The course will be held through lectures to Students either in the classroom (“in presenza”) or in synchronous-streaming (“in telepresenza”) on the Teams platform. Therefore, the opportunity of Student/Teacher interaction will be preserved both face to face and remotely, by the simultaneous use of the Teams platform.
Lectures will be supported by slide presentations, which will be available to students on the Elly platform (https://elly2020.medicina.unipr.it/).

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral exam, or written test, according to the holder of the course.
Written examination, multiple choice test.
Written examen will be a test conducted remotely (by Teams and Elly). The test consists of multiple choice questions on the course contents (reference texts + documents uploaded to Elly during the course). There is no penalty for incorrect answers. The final mark, reported directly on Esse3, will correspond to the arithmetic average of the assessments obtained in the single exams.
