Definition and classification of auditory evoked potentials, analysis and explanation of the instrumentation, methods of stimulation and recording, parameters of the responses of the various potentials, analysis of the results in relation to the various auditory pathologies.
Research of the hearing threshold in non-collaborating patients, by means of V-wave research, analysis of clinical cases.
Illustration and explanation of the otoemission research method and automatic Abr as part of neonatal auditory screening

Course unit content
The objective of the course is to illustrate to the student the various methods of research of auditory evoked potentials, and the methodology of recording of acoustic otoemissions in the field of neonatal auditory screening.

Teaching methods
Class lessons: the program themes will be discussed with the aid of slides. The proposed topics will be the subject of collective discussion and study on the basis of ideas and any questions raised during the lessons themselves
Assessment methods and criteria
The achievement of the goals of the course is verified by an oral exam.
Answering questions about the contents of the course, the student will demonstrate whether he/she has achieved the goals of knowledge and understanding of the contents and the ability to apply the acquired knowledge.
