Learning objectives
The aim is to know the main concepts of the psycho-analytic theories and methods.
1. Knowledge and ability of understanding. The students will have to learn the themes exposed during the lectures. In particular, they must learn the authors’ thought, analysed from the theoretical, methodological and clinical point of view.
2. Ability of applying the contents. The students will have to be able to reflect critically on theories, methods and clinical aspects of the various authors and to compare the different models.
3. Making judgments. Students will have to develop autonomy in judgment, critical ability and reflection ability on theoretical and methodological problems, on the relationships between specific theoretical positions and on their possible applications.
4. Communication skills. Students have to acquire the technical language and show the ability of presenting and discussing clearly and consistently the themes studied with specialists and non-specialists.
5. Learning ability. Students will have to be able to continue to study some recent theoretical approaches of psychoanalysis autonomously.
Similar aims concern the part of the programme about the narrative.

Six exams in three sessions. The tests are written. There is no difference in the program between attending and not attending students.
2 open questions. The average grade is made up by the arithmetic mean of the scores of each question, considering the content, presentation and argumentation skills. The passing mark (18/30) in each answer is obtained if the mistakes are not serious.
