Learning objectives
The Course The Professional Profile of the speech therapist is part of the Integrated Sciences Preparatory Course II.
The course aims to enable the student to know and understand the main events and the professional code of ethics of the speech-language pathologist and acquire the basics of speech therapy evaluation. The course aims to enable students to apply the knowledge and understanding acquired to orient themselves during the early stages of the practical training.

Course unit content
The first lessons relate to the description of general and specific skills of the professional and the speech therapist also through the analysis of the code of ethics. The second part of the course aims to provide students with the basics first to identify all diseases pertaining to speech therapy and levels of language that are subject to evaluation in the speech therapy (fluency, phonetics, phonology, lexicon, morphology, syntax, pragmatics, Semantics, Text and Speech, Voice, Language written) and later discusses the neuropsychological bases of linguistic competence. Finally, the last part of the course introduces the student in assessing speech therapy through the presentation of the main test used in infant age

Teaching methods
The lectures provide the presentation in video projection of the course content with the help of video of evaluation sessions and the vision and analysis of test scores logopedica The last minutes of class are reserved for questions of clarification from the students.
Assessment methods and criteria
The assessment of learning and knowledge acquired includes a written examination. By means of written questions about the contents of the course, will occur if the student has achieved the objectives of knowledge and understanding of the course content. The student must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the code of ethics and guidelines of the evaluation speech therapy.
