Learning objectives

The course provides the student with the basic and advanced tools for the integrated stratigraphic analysis of sedimentary basin fills, aimed to reconstruct the geometries, genetic and physical relationships of sedimentary bodies related to the climatic and tectonic evolution. These are key applicative elements for subsurface resource exploration and are also important for palaeoclimatic and palaeoenvironmnetal recostructions aimed to the definition of global climate and environmental change scenarios.
