Course unit content
The architectural project in its multi-scalar role constitutes the fundamental theme of the compositional experience. The project for an urban portion, with its fabric, its special buildings, its bonds of autonomy and complementarity with other urban portions constitutes the opportunity for an operational check of the Course. An adequately articulate awareness of the issues of architecture and cities is, finally, the knowledge required to pass the exam.

Bibliography
Those indicated at the workshop. Further targeted bibliographical information is given with respect to specific issues addressed.
Teaching methods
The workshop work through revisions, both individual and collective, of the design work by the students along with a series of lectures, constitute the basic tools of the teaching experience.
Assessment methods and criteria
Exhibition of the work done and its path. Student assessment is made by taking into account both the final result and his/her application in the various phases of the project. The evaluation is sufficient if the project demonstrates a capacity acquired to address the issue, in terms of approach but also in terms of graphic representation and verbal presentation. In addition to the final check there are some moments of intermediate verification of learning, conducted at seminar groups within the confines of the single workshop.
