The M.Sc in Architecture and City Sustainability is a second-cycle degree programme in Architecture completely thought both in Italian and in English. It requires a bachelor’s degree qualification (first-cycle studies) obtained in Italy (class L-17 - Scienze dell’architettura) or abroad.
The course complies with the European Directive 85/384/EEC concerning the mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates, and other evidence of formal qualifications in Architecture in the European Union. The course combines in-depth theoretical studies of core professional subjects with a solid applied and technical approach to sustainable design and planning.
The different modules in Architectural design, Restoration, Urban planning and design, BIM and Construction technology are mainly organized into laboratories where students, supported by theoretical studies, carry out applied activities in an international environment, supported by skilled lecturers (University staff, researchers, and practitioners).
Each year, about 50 students enrol in the second-cycle degree programme Architecture and City Sustainability, 50% of whom come from different Italian and International universities.
The programme has also promoted various agreements for didactic and scientific cooperation with foreign universities and a Double degree programme with the Université Internationale de Rabat in Morocco is in the process of being defined. The success of the programme is highlighted by high employment rates (with a share of around 100%) within the three years following the graduation.
