The Doctorate in Veterinary Medical Sciences is characterised by a strong interdisciplinarity and does not have any specific curricula. The main objective is to train scholars capable of investigating research topics in different areas, including basic, pre-clinical, clinical and non-clinical (such as animal production and inspection of food of animal origin), using innovative methodologies and technologies. A special feature of this doctorate is the close interaction with the needs of the area.

PhD students can choose to develop their research in various scientific-disciplinary fields of veterinary medicine, including VET, AGR and BIO.
