The course aims to provide in-depth knowledge bases in the different fields of laser application: laser physics (theory of stimulated emission, characteristics of electromagnetic waves, principles of optics, basic components of laser equipment) - biological basis of laser-tissue interaction - effects of the main wavelengths in different oral tissues - use of different laser equipment in the different specialist branches of dentistry and in facial aesthetics Use of lasers in the pathology of oral mucosa and maxillary bones - risk analysis of the use of lasers and safety regulations -  management of medical emergencies related to dental surgery
