Packaging materials; analysis of possible contaminants and possible disposals; shelf-life; notions of legislation and compliance of packaging with current regulations; marketing and economics notions; package design; smart packaging; end of life and sustainability; packaging technologies; industrial plants; printing technologies; packaging design.

Professional profile

The Master in Packaging aims to provide knowledge on Packaging, interdisciplinary subject matter and provide a broad spectrum of skills related to specific subjects covering heterogeneous but essential disciplinary areas for training adhering to professional needs.

The Master aims to train a professional figure able to fit into industrial realities both in the production sector and in the laboratory, working in teams, following production processes, with the ability to innovate and optimize products for packaging. It will be able to recognize the most suitable materials for the products to be packaged, incompatibilities related to possible migration phenomena, permeability against external agents and resistance to chemical aggression, In addition to the acquisition of useful knowledge to design the packaging also evaluating the regulatory and economic aspects with an increasing attention to the recovery of packaging and the environment.

He will also have knowledge of logistics, quality control, marketing, communication and related legislation.
