Learning objectives

The course is amed to provide the physiopathological bases for the study of the most important renal and urologic conditions

Prerequisites

<p>The requirements have been determined by the Medical School Council. </p>

Course unit content

<p> 1) The pathophysiology of fluid and electrolyte disorders. Volume regulation at cell and body level. Edema. Hypernatremia and hyponatremia.  <br />
<br />
2) The pathophysiology of acid-base disorders. Acidosis and alkalosis. </p>
<p>3) The pathophysiology of  potassium, calcium and phosphorus disorders.<br />
<br />
4) The pathophysiology of nephrolitiasis. </p>
