Learning objectives
The student, at the end of the nphrology internship, by integrating the his/her background of anatomy, and physiology, should be able to demonstrate full knowledge of major nephrologic diseases and syndromes
Prerequisites
Kidney, heart, lung, liver anatomy and physiology. Heart Failure. Diabetes mellitus.
Course unit content
The nephrology internship is base on the participation of the student in the activities of the different sections of the Nephrology ward, and in particular the acute and chronic dialysis facility, the ordinary nephrology section and the nephrology offices.

The dialysis machine: basic functioning, setting, dialysis staring and problems.
Acute and chronic dialysis prescription.
Clinical approach to the hospitalized renal patient. Clinical approach to the ambulatory renal patient
