Integrated course unit module: PSYCHIATRY AND PSYCHOLOGY

The attendance is aimed to make the students able:
- to recognize people with mental disorders;
- to develop skills for an appropriate differential diagnosis;
- to make an adequate project of care;
- to refer to specialist assessment and treatment.

Teaching methods

because of the current pandemics, the course will be held on-line by means of the Teams platform. Students will be provided with a link to Teams on the Elly platform when they subscribe to the course. The link will lead them to several videos depicting clinical cases of the major psychiatric disorders, as well as to daily group discussion with the staff of the Psychiatry Unit regarding the content of the videos. When the epidemiological context will allow that, students will attend in-person the in-patient, out-patients and Day-Hospital facilities of the Psychiatric Unit.

Final interview (included in the final examination).
