Learning objectives

Aims: <br />
To provide guidelines for the clinical approach to the most common cardiovascular, respiratory and urinary pathologies in small and large animals. <br />
Abilities acquired: <br />
To know how to collect a correct and accurate medical history, to carry out a complete physical examination and to correctly recognise and interpret the signs, symptoms and objective findings associated with cardiovascular, respiratory and urinary illnesses. <br />
To know how to choose the most appropriate laboratory and instrumental diagnosis methods (electrocardiography, diagnosis by images) in order to define the diagnosis and prognosis. <br />
To know how to choose therapy and monitor a patient. <br />

Course unit content

Cardiology, electrocardiology, echocardiography, and ecoDoppler examinations, blood pressure measurement, and cardiological therapy. <br />
Respiratory system examination, therapy for disorders of the respiratory system. <br />
Urinary system examination, urine sampling techniques and therapy for disorders of the urinary system. <br />
