Double degree with Vilnius University - Lithuania; Grenoble Ecole de Management - France; Hochschule Bochum - Germany; FECAP - Brazil.

International Business and Development (IBD) is a second level degree in economics and business (LM77-Management), taught and examined entirely in English, offered by the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Parma.
It is a two-year course and on successful completion graduates are awarded the “laurea magistrale” or second cycle degree certificate.
IBD is designed for candidates from different academic backgrounds and aims to provide a thorough grounding in international economics and global development.
IBD students are encouraged to gain experience abroad during the two academic years, and can take advantage of a large number of opportunities.
IBD teaching methods are mainly interactive and require student participation. Almost all courses include project work, where groups of students, assisted by the teaching staff, prepare, present and discuss projects with Professors/instructors and peers.

Module on “How to write a dissertation”

A series of 4 meetings will be held by prof. Simone Baglioni in March (on Wednesdays, in the afternoon) on how to write a dissertation, from the idea to the final version of your work.  

Attendance is strongly recommended for both first- and second-year students. The calendar and information on the enrolment procedure will be available soon. 

Students will receive an e-mail with the links to a form (short survey) and to a Teams presentation meeting.

Seminars eligible for “Student Option" (4 CFU)

A series of about 12 seminars corresponding to 4 ECTS credits have been organised for the second semester, eligible for “Student Option”.

Seminars start on February 20, will be held mainly on Mondays or Tuesdays (depending on the week), in the afternoon, after the other lectures, and will award credits based on a minimum attendance percentage. The calendar will be available soon. 

To choose this activity in the programme of study, select "1006659 – Tirocinio presso struttura dell’Ateneo (4 cfu)". The choice must be made by February 3, 2023 ("apertura del piano degli studi"). A second window is between March 2 and April 3, 2023 ("riapertura del piano degli studi", programme of study reopening window). 

Since the seminars concern specific topics related to practical skills, they are strongly recommended also to students who have already taken the “Student Option” credits

The main topics are: 

  • Use of Excel (requires a personal laptop)
  • Customs activities 
  • Business management (supply chain and business development)
