Course unit content

The course aims to provide knowledge about the management of quality and safety in manufacturing and services companies. We will discuss Italian regulations and European directives that govern these areas and propose management methods within companies. In addition to the regulatory aspects will be introduced and discussed all the tools for the management of quality, safety and maintenance.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT Introduction to Industrial Management System. The evolution of the concept of Quality. Traditional and modern approach to Quality. Strategy of implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM). Quality management in production processes. Problem solving and statistical Instruments Quality. The continuous improvement. International quality standards (ISO 9000). Maintenance Management. The reliability of industrial plants. Techniques of risk assessment: FTA, FMECA, HAZOP. Maintenance of industrial plants and culture of maintenance. The units of measurement of the performance of the system maintenance.
