Learning objectives

<br />To acquire knowledge of the main audiological investigations in the classification of transmission, cochlear and retrocochlear hypoacusis, through practical activities at the Audiometry Service.

Course unit content

<br />Classification of hypoacusis in the main diseases of the middle ear (otosclerosis, chronic otitis).<br />Classification of hypoacusis in the main diseases of the inner ear (labyrinthitis, Menière’s disease, presbycusis, noise deafness).<br />Classification of hypoacusis in the main retrocochlear diseases (neuritis, acoustic neuroma).
