Course unit content

Breeding
Sire’s and mare’s choice according to morphological, functional and genetic traits. Breeding techniques during pregnancy and feeding plans. Colostrum and milk. Foal growth curves. Weaning and feeding of the foal.
Training of the not-mounted horse
Communication between trainer and horse. Single-line longeing. Desensibilization. Training to load into a trailer.
Training to driving
Driving tack and carriages. Mouthing and harness.
Basics of training for racing, show jumping and main saddle horse’s employments.

Horse Biomechanics Elements

Horse gaits and jumping. Riding techniques

Equestrian Olympic disciplines rules. Horse racing rules
