Basic notions. Probability and statistics. Data representation. Algebraic and trascendental functions. Analitical geometry and trigonometry. Differential calculus. Integral calculus. Differential equations.

Teaching methods
Oral lessons on the theory, with some exercises. Exercises classes (and tutor activities) organized by professor Giancarlo Fiorini in the framework of IDEA project.
Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam with exercises and short theoretical questions. The oral part is not compulsory, and can be done upon request by the student or by the professor.

Students enrolled in the course of Scienze Gastronomiche utilize this course for the mathematics part of the course "Matematica e Fisica applicata alla gastronomia". The topics ranges up to "Introduction to derivatives and integrals".
