Course unit content

<br />X-ray generation. Crystal diffraction: Laue and bragg equations.Powder diffraction: principles and applications. Debye and Bragg-Brentano cameras. The reciprocal lattice and the Ewald sphere. The intensity of the diffraction and the structure factor. Single crystal diffractometry.Optical resolution and Abbe law; the transmission electron microscopy. Microprobe and X-ray fluorescence analysis: principles, applications and analytical problems.
