<br />Definition of hygiene, Public Health: divisions and aims <br />Concept of health <br />General epidemiology of infectious diseases: host-parasite relationships, sources and reservoirs of infection, modes of transmission, modes of emergence of the infections in the population. <br /><br />Types and levels of preventive intervention: notification, quarantine measures, diagnostic investigation of infectious diseases, sterilisation, disinfection and disinfestation. Vaccine prophylaxis, types of vaccine, vaccine strategies and schedules. Passive immunoprophylaxis and chemoprophylaxis.<br /><br />Main prevention principles for non infectious diseases
