Learning objectives

<br />The aim of the course is the construction of a Landslide susceptibility map of the upper T. Ceno valley through the so called Conditional Analysis method. The first operation is the acquisition of the topographic map, of the Landslide inventory map, of the geological map (in tiff format) and of the contour line map (in vector format). These basic maps are used to derive the maps of some of those factors usually considered to be directly or indirectly connected to landslide occurring (slope and aspect maps, elevation map, lithological map). The landslides of the Landslide Inventory map are the digitized considering the different landslide types. All these data are then processed by a shell script performing the entire procedure till the construction of the final Landslide Susceptibility map.

Prerequisites

Sistemi Informativi Geografici course (3th year of the Laurea Triennale)
