Learning objectives
The student should acquire sufficient informations to judge his professional activity from a legal and ethic point of view with particular reference to criminal, civil and social aspects. He should also be able to ascertain the fundamental traumatologic aspects
Prerequisites
The student should already have taken the examinations regarding the study courses of the first three years and of Pharmacology, Pathology, Orthopedics and Psychiatry.

Medico legal methodology, data acquisition and diagnosis in Forensic Medicine, causation and medico legal judgement. Forensic Medicine: medical expertise. Privacy and respect for personal informations. Medical activity documentation: medical files and certification. Judicial Mandatory Reports. Mortuary rules and regulations. Forensic thanatology: death diagnosis and time since death evaluation. Objective element of crime: causation, justification reasons. Subjective element of crime. Life and Health offense. Sexual offenses. Abortion offense. Social protection of maternity. General aspects of civil law with particular reference to legal capacity. Health rights. Bioethics and Medical Ethics. Mandatory health treatments.Tort compensation. Personal impairment. Social Security System: National Insurance and Welfare System. Private Insurance. Forensic traumatology. Crime scene investigation.
