Learning objectives

Reading of written materials and analysis of documentary material will prepare students for independent research, consolidate their critical awareness, and ascertain their tools in preparation for the final dissertation project.

Course unit content

The debate on the arts in Italy between the Twenties and Thirties. <br />
The course, which will be of a seminar nature, will focus around a few themes of the debate on the arts of the Fascist period, in particular placing emphasis on the reception of international avant-garde research. The students will be provided with a reference bibliography and a series of written materials (reviews, presentations of shows, theoretical texts, etc.) which will be analysed during the lessons. <br />

Classroom lectures and seminars. <br />
