Learning objectives

To obtain a good level of knowledge of Italian, European and World events of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Prerequisites

There are no specific requirements.

Course unit content

Module A (5 credits). The lessons will be concerned with a few of the main phases of contemporary Italian history between the 19th and 20th centuries. <br />
Module B (5 credits). The lessons will examine the genocide of the 20th century and the actions of the ‘righteous’ in favour of the victims. <br />

Teaching methods

Every lecture will be conducted using Microsoft Power Point slides to show diagrams, geographical maps and pictures. <br />
The written part of the examination will concern general history. The oral part of the examination will concern the lecture topics and contemporary Italian history. <br />
