Course unit content
What is political philosophy? <br />

The course will be subdivided into two modules <br />
<br />
Module A (5 credits): will be dedicated mostly to ancient thought, questioning a few classical writers (Plato, Aristotle) on the fundamental problems of the discipline, and asking ourselves which might be the contribution of the historical approach to the theoretical definition of political thought. <br />
<br />
Module B (5 credits): will be dedicated mostly to modern thought, questioning a few classical writers (Hobbes, Rousseau) on their relationship with ancient thought. <br />
<br />
The course envisions the activation of a seminar element. <br />
