The student should learn how the drugs are adsobed, distributed, metabolized and excreted by the organisms; they should also know the essential pharmacological action of the autonomic nervous system and the mechanisms of action of the drugs of the eyes. General epidemiology of infectious diseases: host-parasite relationships, sources and reservoirs of infection, modes of transmission, modes of emergence of the infections in the population.Types and levels of preventive intervention: notification, quarantine measures, diagnostic investigation of infectious diseases, sterilisation, disinfection and disinfestation. Vaccine prophylaxis, types of vaccine, vaccine strategies and schedules. Passive immunoprophylaxis and chemoprophylaxis.Main prevention principles for non infectious diseases <br />
