Learning objectives
<br />Lectures will cover the following topics:<br />Regulation of hormone synthesis and secretion<br />Hormone receptors and signal transduction<br />Hormone overproduction and underproduction<br />Altered tissue responses<br />Laboratory techniques for recognition of endocrine disorders.
Course unit content
<br />This core module aims to provide students with an understanding of the physiological function of the endocrine system as well as the laboratory testing of endocrine function.
