Integrated course unit module: HUMAN ANATOMY AND MORPHOLOGY OF THE CONSTITUTIONS

Learning objectives

<br />The aim of the course is to give the student the basic knowledge of the human anatomy, together with the elements for the classification of the different human body morphologies in the perspective of their application to the sport sciences.

Course unit content

<br />Superficial Anatomy: Head and Neck; Thorax; Abdomen; Superior Limb; Inferior Limb.<br />Sistematic Anatomy:<br />Digestive system histological organization; <br />Buccal cavity; Pharynx; Esophagus; Stomach; Mesenterial Intestine; Colon; Liver and Pancreas<br />Cardiovascular System <br />Heart; Aorta; encephalic and abdominal arterial vascularization; general organization of the venous and lymphatic system; the pulmonary circulation.<br />Respiratory system <br />Histological and morfo-functional organization; superior and inferior respiratory tracts; Trachea; Bronchi; Lungs and Pleure. The anatomical basis of respiratory gas exchange.<br />Urinary system<br />Macro and microscopic anatomy of the kidney; general anatomy of the urinary tract; the anatomical basis of kidney filtration and absorption.<br />General Organization of the male and female reproductive systems. The gonads.<br />Endocrine system: pituitary gland, parathyroids, adrenal glands, endocrine pancreas, prostate,  <br />Mammary gland.<br />Body morphology: history of theories on body morphology and physiological phenotype variations;<br />criterions of assessment and ranking of the individual bio-morphology.
