Learning objectives

<br />To acquire the basic principles of the neurophysiological investigations of the central and peripheral nervous system.<br />To get some knowledge of the effects of physical activity upon nervous structures and muscles

Prerequisites

<br />all the examinations of the previous year must be passed

Course unit content

<br />-         Concussion and sport<br /> <br />-         Transitory loss of consciousness, (syncope and epilepsy); effects of physical activity<br />-          <br />-         Lesions of the perpheral nervous system as a consequence of sport and physical activity<br /> <br /> <br />-         Basic principles of EMG and evoked potentials<br /> <br /> <br />-         Muscle fatigue <br /> <br />-         Muscle pain and cramps<br />
