Integrated course unit module: INSTRUMENTATION I

Learning objectives

The course aims at giving the basic knowledge which is necessary to perform accurate measurements of signals using analog or digital instrumentation. <br />
Part of the course consists of practice in the lab where the students are learning how to measure signals.

Course unit content

Operation of analog and digital multimeters. <br />
Experimental verification of Ohm’s law .<br />
Data analysis and error propagation.<br />
Analog to digital conversion boards. <br />
Use of the analog oscilloscope (lab).<br />
Data analysis in measurements with oscilloscopes. <br />
Experimental analysis of RC and CR circuits with an analog oscilloscope.
