Integrated course unit module: NURSING MANAGEMENT

Learning objectives

This course aims to provide the tools needed to understand the economic organisation of the healthcare system. The contents have been chosen with the purpose of providing the elements needed to interpret and valuate macroeconomic data in the healthcare sector, with particular reference to the regional and provincial health systems, and indications of the main areas of development

Course unit content

<br />The contents of health economics (economic organisation, effectiveness and efficiency, input output and outcome, cost analysis); the role of health systems, different models of healthcare protection, the Italian healthcare system, resource financing and sharing; measuring healthcare results (measuring systems, DRG system, correlated financing mechanisms); budgeting system; provincial healthcare systems; information systems supporting planning and control systems; Health Technology Assessment; the use of private funding for public works (project financing in health)
