Integrated course unit module: CLINICAL NURSING IN MEDICINE AND GENERAL SURGERY

Learning objectives

The course is designed to provide the professional tools required for a correct relationship with patients as well as with relatives and the staff. The importance of rules and the ability to combine them with one’s own personal pedagogic sensitivity Comparisons between theory and experience. The educational skills in explaining what the patient must learn (hygiene, diet etc.) and in evaluating what he/she has actually understood are of fundamental importance.

Film: Un medico un uomo (The doctor): directed by Randa Haines: to be able to recognize a series of situations that are particularly significant for this profession. Topics, comments, discussions with reference to the students’ personal experience in the wards.
