Learning objectives
Students must develop knowledge of the clinical problems regarding the complex sector of foetal anomalies, both from the etiological and diagnostic points of view and as regards the prognostic aspect; students must possess the knowledge necessary for a correct screening of the initial pregnancy in order to be able to illustrate the appropriate diagnostic and screening procedures to patients.

Course unit content
The physiological changes during pregnancy; mother-foetus iso-immunisation; premature birth; multiple pregnancies; anomalies in foetal development; second and third-quarter metrorrhagia; post-term birth; anomalies of the amniotic fluid; twin pregnancy; hypertension in pregnancy and eclampsia; the post-natal period.
