Course unit content

<p>Organ and tissue preservation techniques with specific reference to hypothermic preservation and cryopreservation techniques. </p>
<p>Modalities of organs and tissues procurement, requirements for donor selection, surgical approach to renal, pancreas, liver, cardiac valves and vessels retrieval, the tissue processing methods, the effects of preservation solutions on cellular metabolism, the techniques of cryopreservation, the principles and standards for Tissue Banking will be examinated.     </p>
