To supply to the student the knowledge on the zootechnical productions and the possible applications of biotechnologies in zootechnical field.

<p> Milk production. Cattle meat production. Swine meat production. Mendelian genetics of zootechnical interest (with monofactorial genetic defects). Relationships and consanguinity. The quantitative genetics and the infinitesimale model. Systems of reproductor evaluation. The outlines of selection and genetic progress. <br />

Didactic visits: visits to herds. genetic centres. institutes of genetic material control. laboratories specialised in the application of the biotechnologies to animal productions. <br />
