Learning objectives

To provide the instruments for the correct management and the macro/micro assessment of tissue samples. To provide the informations and the scientific background to approach correctly the methodology in Clinical Biochemistry. The purpose is a correct use and development of diagnostic products for Clinical Biochemistry and of devices for the collection, treatment and storage of biological samples. To provide the basic knowledge of the principles and methods for the laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases referring to the main molecular methodologies and technologies related to infections by microrganisms and viruses of medical interest; to deepen the knowledge on the biotechnological applications for the study and the molecular characterization of infectious agents. To provide a theoretical and a practical approach to a correct performance and interpretation of molecular genetics diagnostics

Prerequisites

Exam on Molecular Bases of Infectious Diseases.
